Lovely bike - I'd put some amberwall tyres on (Michelin Dynamic Classic are easy to find) and replace the bottle cages, but that's all.

I remember looking at those paint designs in shops and wondering how they did them...

Hi Rich,

Thanks for the compliment - and the ideas.

The cages - and pedals - do in fact come off if I take part in a retro ride.

With ref to the tyres, I've not found any amber wall tyres with sufficient puncture protection for Danish roads! Closest I've managed is Continental 4 Seasons GP with amber (brown) sidewall protection but in fact, my experience is that the protectrion (a type of net?) parts company with the sidewall. So practicality currently takes precedence over looks and my preferred tyres currently are the black Schwalbe Ultremo ZX - as good a puncture protection as any but none are perfect.

a fishnet stencil over a sold base then paint drifted across the stencil...
