Whiplash claims

Update: Another phone call today telling me I could be due thousands.

Ironically, I fell off a ladder this morning and damaged my shoulder and knee. Think of the money I could make if I claimed that all these injuries were a result of the crash! (Which I'm not going to do).

I'm against claiming for anything and everything, but think that you should at least wait a while until you're sure you don't have any whiplash or anything else. You don't want to close the case and then discover that you do have a long term injury as then you're on your own with no chance of claiming.

and just because you don't claim doesn't mean that your (or anyone elses) premium won't keep going up...

Strangely enough my wife parked our car and walked over to a local school to do something and while she was at the school gates someone smacked into our empty parked car.............

The insurance sold details onto a claims company who suggested we claim for injuries sustained in the accident.....

make sense of that if you can!

We still get calls from people about the wifes old car that was hit whilst being test driven by the garage that had it for repair.

It's a scum sucking parasitic bussines.

I had about 8 calls asking if I had any whip lash symptoms after a minor bump on an icy lane. By the 8th call it was all but suggested that I 'must have' whip lash.

I was fine and wouldn't claim for something I didn't have, but I'm sure there are plenty of people who would without any encouragement!

I had a bump in the car this morning. The other driver's fault and, fair play to her, she has informed her insurers it was totally her fault. They've contacted me to tell me that they'll be paying for everything including car hire and my excess.

I told my insurer and now their solicitors have asked me if I have any signs of whiplash, and if so I and my son, who was passenger, could be entitled to thousands in compensation.

Despite causing a fair bit of damage to the side of my car, the crash was very slow motion, and caused us no discomfort at all, but they've said that they'll phone us a couple of times to check that it doesn't get worse. They've even described the symptoms we should look out for.

I know that whiplash may take some days to show itself, but I'm 100% sure we haven't had it, and it just pisses me off the way we're virtually being encouraged to exaggerate and get some cash.

No wonder insurance premiums are rocketing

Well good for them that they are voluntarily willing to pay how much for whiplash compensation you should be getting. Well if you and your son didn't have any injuries at all maybe you could use the money for the damages of your car.

The ex girlfriend was genuinely hit at a t junction whilst she was waiting for the traffic to clear a girl txting didn't concentrate and bam at some hefty speed

the ex was genuinely badly hurt but I was to fat to get hurt  but like some in here the level of persistance by our insurers and their leech ambulance chasers department was relentless.

The only way I could get them to stop was to say that the belt had cut into my groin and reduced my wanger in half to 9 inches..I had 2 more calls after that then no more. Even then the only way I could make them stop was to tell them my dick was so deformed that I was turning into a claims specialist

the ex's case took nearly 3 years of aggro before it was settled
