I find it amusing that we, in Western Europe and the US still believe we live in a democracy. We don't really. The political "class" is the same the world over. In it for themselves. We get to choose between 2 or 3 parties, that basically pedal the same shit

Wanna try with 11 parties that pedal in opposite directions instead? Last elections it took us over 500 days to form a 6-party government.
I honestly wouldn't mind having just 2 parties to choose from.
 
Which also means you don't get what the people want, but what the parties agree on.

We'd probably be all better off with a benign dictatorship, but then we all know that wouldn't work either. You've read Animal Farm by Orwell haven't you. A commentary on Communism, but transferable to all systems. The problem is us, ego and selfishness rules
