So, bike is very muddy from two mud ridden rides. Figured it was time to give it a most thorough clean. Everything that isnt attached by a cable comes off to be cleaned. Lets get the cassette off for a clean and a scrub, I think to myself.

Hmm, met some resistance. Lets give it a bit more oomph. 'pop' - freehub from the pro2 evo hub pops of with the cassette still firmly connected to it. Damn near shat myself, thought it was mullered. Turns out the freehub is designed to be removed by hand when necessary. Thank christ for that! :roll:
 
Alas, I wish I knew that before, would have saved a few grey hairs!

Incidentally, what is the approximate service interval on hope hubs? I am wondering if its worth buying the tool things to service them or not?
