Im going to cheat a little

Up to now i have a MOUNTAIN LX chainset and front mech, but everything else is DEORE II kit...TIOGA T-BONE but way shorter than original...

Ive already tried some wheels on it and although its a 20.5 inch frame doesnt seem that big..LOving it

I actually upgraded all the plastic crap back in 89 for the better stuff..But i wont be putting neon pink or green accessories on it

Ive had some great and extremely helpful people mail me with parts they have seen etc, for this build

I suppose really i better make it a damn authentic and period worthwhile build

Awwww, shucks....!

Lovely to see that old image from the mag/catalogue again.

That bike was, I think, my first real mountain bike. I don't really count the Courier, as that was an utter dog. The Ascent looked the part, and was a lovely ride.

Went like stink with slicks on as well.
