thanks for the advice, never ridden with thumbies before, so will move them a bit to see if it control is easier (didn't notice a problem when riding on Sunday though)

Some other thoughts after the ride on Sunday ...

...not 100% sure I set up the canti's just right, stopping power was not so great, maybe different blocks (I just grabbed BBS blocks from the LBS to get me moving)??

... bar ends are definately needed for an alternative grip position. 30k of riding rigid with a single hand position was a bit tough

... rolling resistance of the tyres seemed quite high, not sure if anyone else has the same experience with Panaracer FireXCPro?>
