1996 Specialized M2 Pro

I quite like it, its so stiff and responsive (although a bit portly).

Only thing about it is that frankly the fork scares me; as I'm getting older and fatter, 200-220lb on a 16 year old bonded carbon fork is probably a recipe for disaster sooner or later. My dad has it at the minute and is mostly using it on the trainer, which at least gives me some time to track down a reasonable fork for it.

Now that's weird.
At 220 I have the exact same thought every time i go riding.

Let me know what you do with the fork replacement.

I daresay it will end up with either a 1" threadless front end or a steel/alloy fork. Similar Kinesis forks to the originals come up but the later production ones mostly have a much bigger diameter at the crown where base of the crown race is which looks a bit dicky. I have a nice chrome Columbus fork off a Vetta which I could use, although it needs trimming down and some thread cut lower.
