Vitus 979

..I tend to use Campagnolo branded Looks on a lot of my classic bikes - although I have the correct period pedals for all. I was an early adopter of the original Looks in (I think) 1986, so they are almost classic, and for me have the benefit of having `Campagnolo' written on the side.

I've got some period Super Record pedals (i.e. titanium spindles) for this bike but they're in great condition and therefore worth in the region of £120.

I hate to say it, but they might be for show only!

I wonder how many others have this dilemma - old shoes and plates are scarce, clip-less pedals are better and could be considered a period upgrade..

Looking forward to the picture!

Fantastic! Beautiful pictures, great bike.

Interesting spec as well. Do you know why the builder mixed Stronglight and Mavic for the transmission?

The Stronglight 107 is a pretty chain set, but the Mavic equivalent was also a nice piece of kit.

i'm having the same pedal issues.....currently using shimano spds!
Looking for some 80's sidi's to go with some mavic look pedals
