Reading between the lines, it looks like Merlin made the show bike and a few prototypes, were unable to compromise their standards to meet Cotic's price point.
Lynskey on the other hand were more than willing to raise their game and add another mass production customer to their list...

Read a much truncated version of the above which lead me to think the original soda were built buy merlin... Not really thinking to be honest about what that actually meant.
So really I am after a Lynskey built one. Not the Taiwanese soul identical ones.

Lynskey have a bit of a reputation for cracking, including the Cotic Soda, but Cotic seem to honour their warranties.
Be careful with ne'er do wells flogging on basket cases though...
