other solutions include:
a neat mod that is almost identical to the onza style which works to the same principle as the Specialized disc adapter. distributing the force of braking up to the vbrake boss.
running v brakes on the rear isnt uncommon, i ran disc up front and magura rim brake out back. worked fine, but i had a sharkfin sitting in my box that begged setting up (after a mammoth amount of searchign and waiting for one)..... things we do for our bikes...:roll:

That looks like a great idea. Did you make that or did you find the image somewhere?

Thanks! I did some searching and also found this thread: http://forums.mtbr.com/singlespeed/rear ... 985-2.html he list then parts he used, but I can't for the life of me figure out where the hell to get a "swivel joint"
Edit: just figured it out, it's called a "heim joint" will be attempting this when I can find a hardware store that carries these
