20" wheels on an MTB ?

Got the build on the way today. Donor Frame is a 2008 Gary Fisher HiFi fully, got brakes and right shifter installed (already had fork, stem and handlebar, seatpost ect. installed) So pics will come soon.
 
Just google search "mini velo" and you will see some of the nicest and most expensive bikes ever with 20" wheels. They are big stuff in Japan:

This thread is making me think, I like the idea. With the right frame.....hmmm

Why stop at 20" though. Found this....

Japan ... that explains a lot.

That Kuwahara looks wicked, and I do kinda see myself riding that Seven Axiom ... assuming I win the lottery. £10K+ ? :shock:
 
Small update, got the front wheel build. Had to cut and tread all spokes since I had trouble finding the right size in Black.
 
will have to post pics of my dmr dis play frame project im workin on atm

need some 32/36 hole rims in 14 inch then spoke them
