Stubbon BB insert

For the really stubborn cups I use a vice but i use the bb tool that you are using and slip it over the fixed cup, I fix an adjustable cup in the other side and clamp the bb shell with cups fitted into the vice. The vice holds the tool on firmly and I can normally undo it. I have had to use a mallet on the tool which helps to break the bond.

HTH, quite difficult to describe and all my bike stuff is in storage at the moment so I can't get a pic up.

They call it a fixed cup for a reason. A vice can work, but you risk slipping and damage. From my shop days, Tel's method is the way to go. Again as mentioned a good whack with a mallet on the t handle will help. Make sure you are turning the right way. Good luck.

...if you're getting really desperate you can weld a long bit of bar onto the face of the cup: never fails!
