Mavic 501 rear axle

I may have one here , I bought it to suit a 126 OLD (model 500 I think ) but the larger diameter section is only suitable where the cartridge bearing is "visible" under the freewheel threads, in my mavic rear hub the bearing sits a bit more inboard under a dust "shield"

the top axle in the photo is the NOS but unsuitable one i have and the lower one is the Original (but broken) axle :cry:

Hi, thanks for getting back to me. Can you measure the length of the wider diameter section so i can compare it to the same section of my broken axle, I can't really judge the length from the picture.

I measured the wider diameter part of my broken axle, it's about 30mm long, so I'm assuming my hub is the same as yours (it's probably mavic 500). So the NOS axle you have probably wouldn't work with my hub.
