Surly Moonlander

Cheers ;)

I'm looking forward to tomorrow, it's the 3rd uk fatbike meet weekend, this time based in goathland North Yorkshire, with a 20 mile moorland ride on Saturday, then a coastal ride on Sunday.

Should be ace....can't wait!

I ain't rode my bike since Sunday, a poorly knee has made me be careful and stay fresh as possible for the weekends antics.

Expect lots of pics and a report when I'm back on Sunday night :D

necromancer

hello, rode my new, second hand necromancer today, got it yesterday but got a puncture first ride :x . well the saddle will have to go and maybe some riser bars, rolled well on the roads and the beach but its the hills and single track i want it for  so will give it a go this week.

make sure you dabble the tire pressures and maybe make sure you invest in decent tread, nates or husker du's for the single track....it will be awesome.

done 40 odd miles of single track and beach riding with mine this weekend....will get some snaps up tomorrow.

Well I survived my 2nd fatbike meet of the year!

25 miles off road moorland on Saturday then sundays 13 miles of coastal areas topped off with great pubs!

What an awesome weekend, fantastic weather, brilliant company and the amazing scenery of the North Yorkshire moors and Whitby to play around in!

Here's a taster of Saturday until I sort some pictures up....

heres my little report on the 3rd UK fatbike meet, this time held in north yorkshire

watching the days tick off as the event got nearer, we were looking at a rather wet and windy event....floods, storms, cold temps....not good, despite this time of year usually being warm and damp.

friday came, and i couldnt wait to get home and load the car up after work....despite having a week off from cycling due to a sprained knee, i was keen to get away for a couple of days of fun and in good company.

pulling into goatham on friday, the evening was soon upon me, so a quick hello to the 5 riders who had turned up early, and i had to whip the tent up and get down to the pub for supper....a good start!

woke up saturday morning in my snug 4 season sleeping bag to a light frost, but stunning clear blue skies....to the sounds of my cooked breakfast was ready!

good old DrS had arrived and wasted no time in feeding the troops

a few more arrived for the days riding on the moors, a 25 mile loop that included the infamous blue man....a 4 mile long rock garden that youd struggle to walk let alone ride!....it came near the end to test our bikes to the max!
