this one's a m901, but i also have a 950. just mentioned it as it wasn't completely obvious you were after an older model.

i would prefer an M901 to match my rear mech.
however, i am running a compact drive crank.
is the M950 compact and is it just the chrome that's come off?
i'm using a M900 with the compact drive crank at present so, i guess it doesn't make much difference.

m950 was for standard-sized xtr rings.
haven't used any compact rings for a while but when i used to I had a m950 which worked fine.

i am going to swap it with sylvain for his 28.6 front mech.
this was always my prefered option as it saves me trying to source a replacement.
