i recently formatted my hard drive on my computer.

since then i am having trouble logging on to certain internet sites.

i get the following message :

internet explorer can not open the internet site
www...............................com.
operation aborted.

anyone have any ideas how to sort out this problem.
i can't logon to yahoo to check my emails.

It sounds more likely to be an issue with the DNS serverr than anything local to your machine. These things tend to cure themselves given time, alternatively log on to your router and try another DNS server (you'll need to google for generic DNS addresses.)

Not sure this is your fix but it could be.

Have you tried switching off your Router completely for a couple of mins, then try again. Whenever I have a surfing problem, its always the Router.
