My WeightWeenie - NOW WITH GEARS 05/10/12

Easiest place to save more weight would be the forks I think, the Trigons are supposed to be a much better ride that the Pace as well as being lighter.

As much as I want the Trigon's (about 200g lighter than the Pace's) I think they may have a rider limit, and this still has to carry my bulk around.... I'm having to find a good weight/balance with all the components so choice is everything.

If I wasn't such a bunter I'd have no problems getting it into the high 6's but it would just turn to dust...

So today, after gathering a few cheap bits recently, it was time for some gears...

First on the agenda was a 9sp (11-34t) cnc'd cassette @ 158g

Next up was a roadie Dura-Ace RM, tuned by me to 180g

and to make it all spin, a nice gold Ti coated hollowpin chain :D

Then it was off with 200g of SS kit and DCD, and to make it function, a Suntour XCpro thumbie at 73g, capable of covering the entire cassette range.

A quick change of seatpost and saddle, to a shortened Ti affair with SLR XC leather-clad comfort, and it was all bolted together..
