It may be near Easter but don't resurrect this thread again!

Two neighbours meeting at the fence:

neighbour one: Hey, the bright green colour of your Porsche GT3 is so ugly!

neighbour two: Is this the cause why you have bought this silver grey Golf GL?

I love you Pete, you crack me up

x2 :LOL:

Like the idea of a 'showcase' section where people could show off the service they offer with only the op and mods able to comment. As Pete says, it'd stop the 'endless where can I get this' thread. No problem with those threads btw, most of us have asked in the past.

Now if someone started a thread showing how to re-create the paint job of a 1989 Apollo Blizzard or marble effect of the Emmelle Dolomite I'd be straight in ;)

Ha! I wouldn't worry about jealousy, I sadly spend far, far too much on bikes to worry about being jealous of others....but I do drive a grey VW. Spend some more time on here and have a look round, maybe even venture outside of Klien threads and you'll see that I'm an arsehole about more than just Clines.

More like this IMHO:

neighbour 1 owns a bright green GT3,

neighbour 2 owns a dark grey MP4-12c,

The latter has taste the former wants to be the centre of attention.

If someone could combine my two favourite things, paintjob threads and Raleigh Mustangs, then I would be the happiest pig in sh*t. It would be a spiralling vortex of bile and dispair!

For the marble effect, paint frame in colour of choice, set fire to some card or paper, let the black smoke find the frame, then lacquer. Voila. Or is that a different finish?

Good. Grief.

Maybe I'll setup a thread to discuss this one and we can all be drawn into some multi layered Klein discussion a bit like Inception.

I've only skimmed the last few pages but to address a few points

-Keep it civil.

@Pete - mostly porn

@rainforest1 - get a grip on yourself, you're like a petulant child.

@dablk - Nice idea on the 'showcase'

@Pete - could be a niche. Recreating classic Raleigh paint from the 80s and 90s. If you're going to got for it can you re-do my Raleigh Discovery in Raleigh Lizard colours?

That is a little confusing.

Surely personal taste is the question, not the cost of the car wearing the paint?

Yes, jealously doesn't really enter into the initial complaint.

Actually forgot to address the initial point. Yes, it would appear the current thread is a recap of what has gone before - which is fine. The original thread was a whole mire. Hopefully there will be some new projects added soon.

Go on, admit you're secretly impressed: a thread discussion thread at 4 pages, nothing tangible done, nothing solved, nothing created. The whole internet distilled into one thread.
