Prog Rock mix

Maybe a bit left field, but to me there is some kind of connection. It's the kind of poetic spirit...

"In the Court of The Crimson King" is one of those defining mo,ments in childhood.
I first heard it in 1976, when me and my mate Johnnie cycled over to see his school mate Harry, whose parents were a bit alternative...
His dad was a nose for Oddbins, and his ,mum was a bit... odd.
They lived in two cottages by the river that had been knocked together, by knocking holes in the wall with a sledgie, and leaving it at that.
Being 1976, it was HOT, and we were 13. After a skinny dip in the river, Harry's mum turned King Crimson up to 11 and pranced around the orchard in the nuddy...
It still affects me!

Strawbs very definitely count as prog, though their stuff is quite varied, and of variable quality... some of it fantastic though, some great bass playing.
