Dunno..never had Salsa forks, but have had plenty of VCs and they ride nice, pretty too! The angle/rake of the forks looks a bit odd in your pictures, is that the camera angle?

Vicious are narrower at the crown, so are much prettier. They ride better too, but TBH, there isn't a lot in it.

Nots sure about the camera angle but the forks are in there nice and tight, so must just be the angle they are designed to be at?..... I leaning towards tuning fork on the dekerf and these forks onto the merlin, or carbons on the merlin.

By the way, I wanted to run 1 x 9 on my merlin, what set up do you have there? XTR crank, shifter and mech? what front ring? what size is the front ring? cheers
