Have a look at the Sonos range of stuff. They appear to have this wireless streaming pretty dam sorted (for a price).
Audioengine A5.
I'm no audio freak. But these sound great to me even up to about 90%.
They have been around for a few years but, surprisingly, I haven't seen anything else to match them (I mean at that price). They have a USB hub for an iPod, audio in, line in/out for an Audioengine S8 subwoofer, plus a rear power socket for an Apple Airport Express WiFi box thing.
I have my iTunes on a network drive attached to our router & stream to the speakers, using the computer as the GUI.
The newer A5-plus has remote control and a few other tweaks.

My neighbors absolutely love my A5s :twisted:
I think if I added the AE sub we'd be looking at structural damage
