i got three 7 year old kids riding bikes without stabilizers for the first time. not a bad way to earn a crust :D
 
Thats really good to hear.
While stabilizers do serve a purpose they can often be a hinderance. Nice one.
 
Yeah thats what i meant, reliance upon something to stabilize you. Balance isnt that hard if you know how!
 
who knows! she just rode along, i asked her to stop at some cones, and she just stood up on the pedals and stopped! was balancing for a good 4-5 seconds.
 
nah...mines better... ;)

i was teaching some year 4s this summer..id drawn a small chalk circle and got them to stop the front tyre in the middle.one lad kept doing it even when it was the size of a penny ...so i stood the chalk on end and said try to stop with the wheel touching the top without knocking it over...he did it first time...best stop i ever saw...i love my job too...rsca north norfolk,,,,, :cool:
