I'd really like a bit more clearance on the inner ring on my bike. I took the cranks off today to clean and, although I check frequently, the inner ring has definitely rubbed up against the frame at some point.
Take out fixed cup, put over spacer and screw fixed cup back in again, ...........the free cup will then screw in the corresponding extra so there's not a lot to play with. !!
We used to use very thin spacers if the fixed cup had a habit of coming loose
Athena, I tried a pair of chorus (I think) cranks today and they were even worse. Ill have to check what length I've got. Might as well do it properly.
