WD-40 & GT-85

NO! Forgetting all the what do they/don't they do, GT85 is by far and away better, I use it as air freshener, gives everything that fresh bike shop smell :D

So OK to use GT85 on electrical parts?

Any proper oil can be used on electrical parts.

When in doubt, spray at a wall socket. If you need to turn the power back on, don't use the oil on electrical parts.

I liked smell of GT85. :)
I'm glad they still doing it just the same!

Now, where is mine toluene bottle...

WD40
Water Displacer formula 40

Thats what's it's designe to do, displace water, not really a lubricant.

Actually i had this arguement the other day as where i work they push gt85 like it will save the world. I can confirm it is nto for chains. I have personally tested this for over a month. Resulting in a new chain and cassette as i recall.
Sure they are both light lubricants, i think the difference is the teflon in gt85 where wd40 is more oil based.

Only good for cables really.
