carlton cobra

That was the one!! - Saved for ages doing my paper round to get that. I suppose it was the nearest I was going to get to a good bike in those days - anyway it did me well for years and all my friends envied me :) Unfortunately some plonka gave it away when I was away abroad for a few years.
I was lucky to fine an unused cobra frame on ebay a few years ago and just had to get it.
Great to see the pictures.

this racer was found in Malaysia

in fact there are two of them. one of it is with a my friend. Not exactly high end bike but lovely racer in farm fresh condition.
 
Carlton Cobra was my first ever "proper" bike...........same colour as yours. Even put sprints and tubs on it and raced it in schoolboy time trials :D

Happy days the early 70's :)
