Oh the brakes are great! I've had a few of this gen of XTR and they are all belting. Some floaty discs are poss on the cards but the big pig irons i have, have loads of stop in them.
Have been on the look out for some fox 140mm but i agree these Maverick look the nuts on this. Will see how they perform on the trail and compliment the rear. Its a strange sensation to get used to but i'm loving it!
 
First (proper) ride today...

Awesome and confidence inspiring. Dropped the seat post for some downhill and twas crap. Popped it back up and was awesome again!
Super happy with my first full susser :D
 
Bike was great. I found with the post wound down i was hanging off the back, little feel. Post up i could use the seat to help direct the bike and get some feel from the shock. Its all a learning game for me :D
