Dad, Dad, Will I be able to get away with shorts?

I'll be in shorts. It is spring/summer time :D

Yeah but your legs move faster than the speed of sound, and just the air causes enough friction to keep your legs toasty...Me on the other hand.... ;)

Thanks you have cheered me up. :D Life is so much better when on the bike.

Fettled the bike tonight so its all ready for Sunday.

New tyres on ready, 1.8 Fire XC Pro's look the business and will allow mud clearance :D

I usually set the bike up on the train with Tony .

Looks like it will be Litespeed with mudguard , and Gore tex all over for sunday . the weather is just terrible down here . :(

And thats just the 'chat' between bikers

chris I wouldn't bother with a 'mud guard' In these conditions it wont work. I went with 'Lid' a couple of Sundays back round Richmond park. His back was just as bad a mine.

I use a rear one on the workbike , and it is really good . I need to find a front one now .

Can any of the more 'local' riders give advise as to kit choice.

Tights or 3/4 shorts?
Jacket or waterproof?
Long top or shortsleeve under?
And how long are we actually riding for?

And finally ;) .......rough time for departing after the ride, just so I can plan my evening arrive home time (if I'll be getting dinner, if I'll see the kids before bed etc)

Cheers all
