Thanks for the info, I'll definitely get some pics on here once it's all put back together (it's a frameset and a box of bits at the moment!)

Don't want to make a case here, but I'm wondering why on mine a 26.4 seatpost proved to leave some excessive gauge and the 26,6 one fitted perfectly

I will have to try and get in the shed tomorrow and check mine then, my 1990 and 91 are both 26.4 and I was sure this one was too but maybe I,m wrong. I bought a brand new post off ebay for it too :?

I know my 1991 is definitely 26.4 too, but I would have to check the '92.

I'll check when I get home if Chris forgets!

I have a seat post that fits but it would seem a waste to separate it from the frame.

My '92 definitely has a 26.4mm Kalloy post in it. Just to double-check I swapped it over with the original GT 26.4 post in my '91 and they both fitted perfectly the other way round

As above, just been out to the shed and mine also has a 26.4 in it which is a perfect fit.
