New build, First build Marin FS (mocked up)

This is my first full suspension mtb and my first scratch build!
Built a couple of raliegh burners before this.

The starting point bought off flea bay for £34.08!

Stripped down today need to 'borrow' a slim 10mm socket from work tonight to remove rear shock!

Planning to take it back to bare metal and either spray or powder coat white

This is going to ba a as and when funds allow build so don't hold yoyr breath!!

I think the general consensus is that it's an alpine trail with a bit b17.

It was only down the road from me so even better!

i saw it about a month ago on ebay and offered the guy £40 bit he said ik but then changed his mind. It sold for £80. Couple of weeks later relisted and i won it for£34! Should of took my £40!!

Decided on a colour scheme!

More or less decided on white anyway but like the green and black of the above and it's a marin colour scheme

Was orginally going to strip and paint it myself but got a quote of £48 to get it powdered coated from http://www.bettablast.co.uk/bettablast/home.html

So hoping to get it done sometime this month!

I think you need to address the line of the rear brake hose!

But looks good. Are those tyres 2.3"? What's the clearance like?

Yea, didn't fit cables properly was just a quick build to see what it looked like and to check everything fitted

Tyres are 2.25 and clearance is fine

Been using bike as is over the summer

Recently gone 1x9 picked up e13 chaindevice and a bash ring, fitted pics below

Thought i'd use it to iron out any bugs before it gets stripped down again to go to the powder coaters (next month proberly)
