Malware Search Conduit

Not actually tried any of them yet, going to sit down when I have an hour or so free and sort it out. The app will have a fortnight to shape up or she's gone. She doesn't know this though......

Thats crazy to consider giving her the sack for something so minor! Malware is everywhere, 90% of pc/laptops have it on in some form, browser hijacks can be a pain but its hardly her fault. maybe your business equipment should be better protected or restricted to 'safe' websites.

Which ever anti malware (malwarebytes and spybot are good) program you use run the scan in safe mode if you can. Once the program is gone you may also need to make some changes to the browser.

You can remove any unwanted settings from firefox via the config.

Just type 'about:config' in to the address bar and you will get access to the config. look for any trace of the hijack and remove it.
