on top of the rest of today
i aquired a generalized rockard frame for wifey

so gonna build it tomorrow evening
stay tuned for this loveliness
Steel or ally? Looking forward to seeing what choice parts from yir bins you waste on it...

So you own approximately 50% of the bikes in Fife (Rob has 20% of the rest) and you give your wife something from a brand you dislike intensely.

I'm not sure if I should boo or applaud you. ;)

its a really recent rockhard sport ,in 14" size
in that clown like red/white colourway (")
so , got some exotic alloy forks for it , a combo of deore/xt groupset
and the rest we'll see
she'll only be on it once tho as per usual

well thanks to slim i have a 1" rs steerer for the fat ,so will try that when it arrives
managed to rip the pedal threads out the dx crank on it , i hate killing
cranks
so need to think what to replace it with ,another dx , a 730 , or some exotica cooks ,grafton ,middleburn, etc

dug a couple of karakoram frames out and the avalanche that i got from g-mac , this has many issues ,stripped cranks , stuck seatpost etc
it still rides beautifully , i feel i need to pull it to bits and sort all the faults
its gotta be worth it , but feared i just ruin it , meybe should just leave it alone and enjoy it

Think i have a non drive side dx crank in the spares box, any good?

I`ll be really impressed if you get the remains of that seat post out

like i said g i'm feart to mess as it works really well as is
but an oxy acetellene torch will remove it
then your onto the cranks then a re-paint and and and

it rides lovely as is ,so i wont take that away ,well not for now

well today i paid a visit to the land where f**k all fits
got a 1" steerer for some mags i was gonna put on the fat
but the campag bottom race wont fit the steerer properly ,that old jis/ euro standard thing , so it needs a shim made up for , can't be bothered with that , so rigids re-fitted
next up suntour se cantis , fitted to the rear of the fat , kushti
next fit the xc pro's to the front , but the base of the canti posts too bloody big for the bush ....aaaarrrghhhh
half an hour later dremmelled to perfection ,brakes on

the up side of this was that when raking about for stuff in the shed i found
a bag containing 4 good (non cracked ) onza ho's that i never knew i had
some straddle rods i'd forgotten about and a chris king h/s that has appeared from nowhare

wifey had sucsessfull first ride on the generalized today too
