I agree. GT got the decals right that year.

Only thing I'd change, personaly, is the tyres. A nice set of smoke/dart or Ritchey Zmax Amberwalls.

Whats the chances of finding some stock amberwall Z-max's these days in good nick?

Funny things. I remember taking them off hardly worn.

Back in the day, I was having a chat with a guy in a bike store. He said the knobs had angles on them that wore off after 100 k's.

Soon after, off they came.

Couldn't find them for the life of me. Lost in the sands of time now :)
 
Sweet bike. I would keep as is apart tyres maybe if was mine. Flip flop stem is cool.
 
amberwalls , bin the bottle cages (or at least the down tube one )
and the death clips/straps ,and thats it for me
looks cool as


oh and those bloody reflectors
 
Decided to try out 2x7.

Ground down some washers to fit.

It's not too bad.

Bit like the bmx days.. running out of gears down hill :)

Just put on some period grips and polished the frame.

So what do you rekon, keep it naked or put some fresh decals on?
