Boiler scheduled for service today.

Something has come up, so I cannot guarantee anyone to be here 'all day'.

So I call and try to pin down a time, I don't want to have them arrive as we are leaving.

The lassie answering the line says I have to call them back at 9.30, as she is just the 'emergency line'.

Can you pass on a message?

"No, they don't let me because I have to keep this line open."

"It is the same number, can't you pass it on to them at 9.30?"

"No, I am not allowed to."

"Fine, cancel it. I am going to change to another service."

"If you want to cancel it, you will need to call back at 9.30."

Jesus wept.

I can never get hold of these people, and that has torn it.

What the lassie obviously does not know is that this is one a large number of rental properties, and my aunt will gladly switch to another servicing arrangement for all as she has had a number of problems with these jokers.

Cheapest is not always cheapest.
 
That will be Scottish Gas here I guess. Will recommend. Thanks. I never had a bad experience with British Gas or Scottish Gas, always excellent service.

No one is sweating.

My aunt got a call back from the boss, apologising and basically arse licking his way back into contention.

We are a small community here, word of mouth means a lot.

Stupidity in dealing with customers costs a lot.
