Im wanting to get all ano gold bolts but how do i measure them to determine what M size they are

I believe measure the outside of the threads (you probably know how to do this) then thats your m number. So m8 will be 8mm outside thread etc.

I wouldnt put alloy bolts in a stem or anywhere else as critical as that :?
