Same here, I'm getting older and fatter by the minute, but I think I'd at least give it a try. Whether or not I succeeded it would still send a message to an attacker.

I realize, however, that you have to choose your battles in this world, and one might argue that by reacting while I was with my girl might get her in even more danger should I fail, but if it were indeed an attack, then the attacker will have forced my hand to defend myself, my girl, my dog, etc. I understand it's easy for me to talk all "Jason Bourne Special-Ops Ninja Crimefighter" while I'm sitting at my keyboard here sipping my coffee, so I guess the best I can say is that I'll just have to make the best decision on how to act at such a time should the same thing happen to me.

Regardless, the motorcyclist in this particular case is a coward and a bully, and I'm willing to bet that sooner or later somebody will teach him a lesson in consideration and responsibility.

All I can say is you were not there to witness what happened in the first place and to see the female further down the path in tears was shocking.

about beating up this pensioner who waved and branded a stick at you for screaming by them with a massive killing machine :roll:

So you think I resorted to violence after being attacked on by a mindless thug ?
I wished I'd been on my own walking and not with the wife and dog,
as i don't brag about my temper the b*stard would be in hospital now.

I must remember to watch a Rambo film again so i can practice sewing my arm up in the wilderness.

Oh by the way I don't HATE every off road biker I see, but just the one who clearly endangered my family.

bearing in mind there are currently no mods online and i have been contacted by pm (as an AEC semi-mod) regarding this thread might i politely suggest that you guys chill out a bit.

talking about tempers and violence is not really what we want is it.

How convenient of you not to quote the part of my post where I talk about being courteous to ALL the other trail users. The rest that follows the (out of context) quoting reads as mindless blathering. Typical in here lately, it seems.
