Control is nothing without power. :p

Joking aside, I always wondered about the Mr O. Was it designed as a DH bike or would it make a good XC as well?
I'm looking for a fast commuter for bad cycle paths, so a FS frame is in order. A bit torn between the O and the SanAn.

No updates??

Embarrassingly no,

Have popped a Joplin dropper post into the build
(which I need to cut down)

But will be out for a play up the woods this afternoon for a blast so will get some fresh pics posted up later, should be muddy

Updated , with dropper post

Fitted A Joplin 3 (as it was a descent price online)
They have never had great reviews, but seeing as I get the time to ride MAYBE twice a month & adjust my seat twice a ride, im not expecting any real problems with it

Todays update...............

Thanks to a contact of Big.Eck

I am now the happy owner of some Maxxis Highroller "Slow Reezaay's"

Only just fitted them and cycled 100 yds with them, but lower rolling resistance & MUCH less weight than the 3.0" Gazzaloddis has transformed the feel of this beast, Its lost a lot of its bulky look thanks to this, looks lower & sleeker too!
The new tyres are 2.5" so not small by any means, its the Gazzas that were HUGGEE!!
Cant wait for my day off on wed to try these fellas out

Im a hack with a saw too. Always wonky, i blame my dad as he cuts wonky also.
I got a cheap pipe cutter from diy store, im sure it goes up to 33mm but might be 30mm. Was about £3. Vheap and tacky but works fine.

Great that they roll better than the gazza's as they are a softer compound right?

Yeah, they are softer,
40a as opposed to 60a , but softer means stickier, means higher rolling resistance.............

Its the profile thats helping, they have a rounded profile, the Gazzas are kinda flat & square, so I was pushing more rubber in contact with the ground, great for stopping though

G

I have a gazza in the shed and have only run it a few times due to the profile. I prefer a rounded profile also. I find with the squarer ones it wants to get you back up right.
No problems with fork clearance.
What is the weight difference between the 2 sets of tyres?
