This is part two for this bike, previous build here.

I've since looked at lots of builds, learned a lot from other peoples builds and had lots of ideas about what I wanted to do differently.

After considering solid white then solid turquoise colour scheme I decided to stick with the YETI racing colours. The fork on the previous build had an awful paint job so Kevin Winter worked his magic on them . I've also gone for the yellow bars and stripped the FTW stem back to bare ally as I've seen pics/youtube footage of them like this BITD.

Kit wise it'll be black XT, Ringle and Bullseye to start with, but may switch to Campagnolo when I source a suitable seat post and head set (any ideas for these?) I think the F.R.O. will suit the Campy stuff

Few pics of the build to date....

depends what your building

for me anything would be good

Lovely, you can't go wrong by not changing a classic build idea. Look forward to seeing this come together.

That'll be my next project ... aiming for a 90 FRO in the Tomac pre-C-26 style.

Looking forward to watching the build and stealing ideas.

Can we get a better picture of that stem please?

Yeah sure - see below - it is much better in the raw than covered in a layer of powder coat I think

So pics of the build to date also attached - just messing around with the cabling at the moment trying to get the length of the outer right, still some work to do!

Finished the last few bits tonight - decals and stuff.

Here's a pic from the garage, will do some more when I get it out and about.

It's pretty much everything I wanted it to be - for now!
