Are you sure? Pro-Flex became K2 in '98 I think, although I'm sketchy on details. My '98 K2 1000 looks nowt like that though :?
 
The 1000, 2000, and 3000 were proflex shape as everyone knows them, the 4000, 5000 and 5500 (all carbon) had shock mounted direct from swingarm to frame (no seat stays) and the beast and animal were like the black one above and the yellow one in the link I posted above... I had the '98 K2 proflex 3000 (pro~flex decal on the top tube, K2 decal on the down tube) which was the highest spec of the old shape easton alu frame, easton carbon swing arm, the same as the previous years proflex 857 I think :cool:
