'5' go off to Devon

On long trips I used to get around 28 or 30 from my straight six 260E if I was light footed.

So I can confidently say you're doomed to around 20mpg if you dare to go quickly on any bits of the drive.

This thing is riding way too high, wants a good 2 inches dropped with those wheels on

As for a guess, I reckon 19mpg.

When he bought it, the rear offside had collapsed, hence the jaunty angle... fixed it with new shocks and springs all round before it went on the road I think

Sadly, it got traded in for Vauxhall Meriva... I know
He is still paying back his surrendered mancards 2 years later, and still has 3 years to go

The power of woman

LGF, yours is lovely by the way

Where are you going to in Devon.Al and me could come up and ruin your wet holiday even more.

231 miles, 28.03 miles to the gallon.

Not bad for a 25 year old car. Fuel light came on at Collumpton which gives me two gallons of panicking time.

Am in Broadclyst on me Raleigh Record Ace till Sunday...
