PUCH Clubleader, garden find

trevormoss

Retro Newbie
found this in a garden and paid £20. stripped every bolt and bearing and gone back together alright. needed new wheels and got a rubbish saddle and pedal clips on at the moment, but all else is original i think. just got into cycling and vintage bikes very recently, first project of many i feel.

can't seem to find any info about the 'Clubleader' model anywhere, anyone?

best wishes

trevor.

Nice colour scheme. It looks like the shifters are mounted halfway down the
down tube - any idea why? Did it belong to someone with short legs and very long arms?

managed to cut the gear cable too short, and not got a replacement yet as am going to put campagnolo friction shifter on. burned the end of thumb too many times on the front tyre already reaching to change gear, need to do soon.

it's a 20" frame. a little small for me at 5'11 but is comfortable, i like the steep riding position, and i do have reasonably long arms.
