what a lovely frame!
What are the clearances like (looking for 30mm tyres plus mudguards)?

I started building a tourer for my wife (until she bought a hybrid). Anyway it might seem like an odd approach but I used an old Raleigh 'Ozark' ATB frame as a base. Its 50cm c-t seat tube and has nice stretched out touring geometry and loads of braze ons for racks and stuff like that. Yes it takes 26" wheels but this isn't so uncommon with old tourers so I've been told and also you can put nice tuff tyres on it. The frame is Reynolds 531 with lugged construction. Its an interesting frame as it takes a cantilever brake one the front and a 'U' brake mounted below the rear chain stays which gives more room for mudguards and panniers etc.

Cosmetically it needs some attention to surface rust but all the threads and braze on parts seem good.

I have the stem and a new unopened front and rear brake.

If your interested I can post pictures here.

Money wise I just want to recoup the money for the brakes (around £35) the frame I'll be happy just to see it go to someone who'd get use from it. I might even have some brake levers, handle bars and mudguards to throw in.

I realize its a bit unconventional but let me know if your interested.

Regards, Adam
