I had one of the Sony ones bought second hand from cash converters, mp3 support and all you do is drag and drop files. The battery lasts forever too and you get web browsing. I also hear that there are sites where you can download books free of charge (ahem). A mate gave me a copy of a Sci-Fi/Fantasy libray around 15,000 books on pdf, I'll never have time to read a tenth of that but pretty much everything up to 2008 is on there.
In the spirit of sharing if anyone wants to send me an 8gb memory stick......

Thats the sort of thing im talking about. Not sure why but taken by the kindle even though it seems the sony would probably suit better. I like mp3 support for audio books.
But then there is the kindle touch which is at £109 which fits the bill also.

Gt kindle touch in the end. Very happy and i too have taken up reading again starting with david copperfield. Found a file of 3000 or so books.

Now just need a little help with calibre.
