Reverse fork legs

Formula 1 used to reverse the fork legs in the crown to put the brakes round the back a la Pace. Don't know if it'll work with that fork brace, though, clearance to the frame looks like it might be a bit tight?

Wondered if this was the plan and can imagine taking a hard hit and the brace smashing the base of the frame.
