BOTM August: British Special

My lovingly nostalgically prepared and built '94 Prestige, lots and lots of period British bits on it too, though I didn't get OCD about it at all. Its based one the ('91) Prestige I had in '92/93, as if I had not sold it and moved to BMX/party/college/motorbike in 1993!
Patient labour of love over 3/4 years collating.

That Kili comp is a real looker, epic build that man...

I remember the Bigfoot smokestone that had a bolt-on parallellogram elastomer based unit, I assumed it was made by them, but may be wrong?

I think the rear end was made by Softail innovations possibly in the west country? I have the same model but without the sus,

I'm not much of a Pace fan, but that's very nice indeed.

A patriotic coloured frame from one of the countries top dogs.

This was to be my most blingy build, A top British frame, dripping in a selection of prime British components, and all finished off with a touch of patriotism.

Sadly on its first ride, I stacked it big style, scraped some of the blingy anno (not visible in the photo) And lost two teeth in direct exchange for a dozen or so stitches in the face. Still, it manages to look nice, shame I didnt come out of it so pretty!

Way more interesting a colour for a DB than the run of the mill black/white... if you ask me.
