......it must have been early on, dave looks clean and still present!.....will put my two pennies up later, but great day folks, great trails and great company!.....the only thing to disagree are my brake blocks, which are now in landfill!.....

Great ride - thanks to James for leading it and to everyone who travelled from far and wide to attend

BOTR was decided over a pint in the pub at the end - the immaculate Dawes of Easyrider was the bike of choice , could easily have been Dave's Roberts but we had forgotten what that looked like by the end!!

That is not a smile on Dave's face - it is pure fear - he is obviously on a steep section with the wrong tyres on a bike that its too small and with the handle bars too high, oh yeah and a loose headset as well

Blimey I am getting a good hiding here!! Well deserved I guess

Sorry chaps especially to our visitors im not normally that miserable ...Hell who am I kidding !!

Another great ride at the FOD, really starting to love the place. I had thought the wet roots would have made for a miserable day, but they merely served to keep you on your toes. The ride was calmly and confidently led by James Red Chilli who does seem to know the forest like the back of his hand, enjoyed the little verbal run downs of each section and what to expect. I’ll even forgive him for the constant lies about how far we were actually away from the pub.

Trails were superb even the muddy sections, and there were more than enough mildly perilous technical sections to give a sense of satisfaction.

Another highlight was the small herd of deer that cantered past us some 20 metres away.

Great banter was had also, even if most of it was at poor Dave’s expense

Lowlight had to be the frequent disconcerting wiffs of garlic, cumin and cardamom when ever I rode behind a certain someone. Took me a while to work out what it was.

I really think FOD should make its way back onto the National Calendar, or it is used for a Retrobike Big Weekend with overnight camping type ride.
