I like the way you self-censored your rolled up trouser leg. Good man! Some of us old chaps mourn the passing of the bicycle clip.

I need some help and this is the best place for it I think...

Do I HAVE to runs a singlespeed-specific chain or can I run a lighterweight one, with a tensioner??

Depends on what chainring and cog you are using. For instance a 3/32 chain will not work with 1/8 chainrings or cogs. Generally singlespeed chains are 1/8 and a lightweight one (I guess your taking about a geared chain) will be 3/32. But not all singlespeed chainrings and cogs are 1/8....Confused yet?

Cheers fella,

The cog is a 3/32 and the chainring is just your average chainring for a conventional triple setup,

Based on your info, I should be ok to run a 'geared' chain (3/32) then? and hopefully without a tensioner (although I don't have horiz. dropouts)

:?

Hmmm! 2013 Unit. I'm sure it'll be controversial but I like this! A lot!
