I am not a "ranting " man
but can't help comment on the Great Britain victory in the team sprint competition
They are lucky that the rules are flexible enough and the competitors did not raise eyebrows when Hindes organized a "mock fall" as he had an initial poor start ag Germany and clearly acknowledged it later on to the journalists.

They were clearly better than the french in the final race mais it is a tainted medal.
:?

We'll see what mister Coe has to say about it !

Does the end always justify the means :?:

Blatant cheating really.
Kind of taints Chris Hoy's 5th gold. Wonder how he feels about it, or whether he was party to the whole thing?

If he'd have broken the rules he'd have been DQ'd, just as the women were and China in the final of their race... He didn't.

"Sport" isn't always about the letter of the law especially at the olympics.

Just look at the badminton players, using a recognised tactic of the sport that was deemed not to be in the "spirit of the games".
