That Mt. Tam has been in this comp a few times with a couple different owners, and it still pulled 10 votes. Impressive.

Thanks Goldenera, I deliberated for a while but decided that the back to original spec build deserved another shot. Picture could have been better though - definatley screwed that up!

Thanks to all that voted for it :)

To the other Gary fisher owners message mr fisher himself on twitter, he shared the pic of my klunker with all his twitter followers :D

Congratulations, great job on your first botm entry - is there a build thread for your klunker? Would like to know more about it.

16th= out of 24 - I'm well pleased!! Even if it was the sympathy vote....

Some very nice bikes - worthy podium places.

You got my vote, and it wasn't out of sympathy.

An Ascent from that era (straight blade forks) was the first real mountain bike I wanted to buy.

Voted for you olddave, I have found memories of riding diamond backs bitd

I shall get a build thread of the klunker up soon

I'm slightly baffled that I'm the only person that voted for the Roberts. Lovely looking thing.

... think it might have been the choice of gearing for the photo...
big front/big rear ;)

That, and you know how this "pre 97 lot like their skinwalls

The Stalinist revisionism whereby every old bike must have skinwalls and thumbies, despite them not being the norm from about 93 onwards. :D

Thanks for the votes guys

Certainly a worthy winner, and my choice of hei hei a very close 2nd!

Luke
