Looking for something nice that won't look out of place with a late 90s groupset on it.

I want a nice tight close clearance frame, must be steel with a top tube no more than 54cm.

Looking for something nice but don't really want to go over £500 for frame and fork but might go a little higher for something very very nice ;)

Anything hiding away out there :?:

Cheers
Steve

What was it?

Eddie McGrath, in lovely condition... I rang them and based on the wheel size and its other features they told me it was handbuilt in the mid 1990s by Autostrada in Birmingham, who in that era also made frames for Manchester’s Harry Hall and the like. It's fitted with a Stronglight cartridge headset and I have a 650c front wheel to fit it too (Mavic built to a no-name hub with good tyre & tube). Plus can supply braze on front mech and cable adjusters for the DT bosses.

54cm seat tube (c-t)
54cm top tube (c-c)
Dedacciai butted steel, TIG welded
Dedacciai steel rigid fork with straight blades
for recessed dual pivot brakes, shallow 39-47mm drop type
braze-on front mech
27.2mm seatpin
Gipiemme horizontal drop-outs, 126mm OLD with mech hanger and axle adjusters
Bottom bracket size – 68mm, English threaded

Weight – 2.25kg (frame with fork and headset fitted)

Sounds nice, 650c front and rear? Triathlon bike?

guess so, won't take 700c rear, tight clearances, sharp geom.

anyway, OP not interested - if anyone else is PM me,

ta, Al
