Campag bottom bracket compatibilty?

I've just taken delivery of a very nice Campag Record Triple chainset courtesy of a forum member but I'm concerned to get the correct bottom bracket. I think I need a 111mm job but does anyone know if this has to be the Record version or will a Veloce bb do the same job? I suppose the question is, are the tapers identical? I'm reluctant to fork out 80 notes on a Record bb if I can get away with spending less!

Yes Veloce will be fine, all the Campag tapers are the same. If its Italian thread then I have a NOS for £10 posted

The tapers are identical, but the Record and Chorus triple (111mm) bottom brackets are slightly asymmetrical, while the cheaper 111mm models (Centaur, Veloce, Mirage) and Record Pista are symetrical.

In practice, it doesn't seem to make much difference, but there may be cases where the symmetrical unit won't give quite enough drive-side clearance.
